Every half-yearly, BSA
conducts a Sembahyang Hajat event, to bless our students for the examination.
For the first semester of 2016, it was held in our very own Kampong Brunei (5
Anzac Avenue), on the 14th of May.
The event started at noon
with the Zuhur prayer, led by Adi Waie. This was followed with Sembahyang Sunat
Hajat and the Du’a, which was led by Hilmi Mohamad.
A short tazkirah
(reminder) was given by Adi Waie during the gathering after the congregational
prayers.
The tazkirah was about
Ihsaan; a responsibility to obtain perfection, by performing our best. The
concept of Ihsaan is primarily associated with intention. Pure intentions go
with pure actions. We need to incorporate this attribute into our studies,
where we need to perform our best in our studies.
Knowledge was also being discussed on. Sharing knowledge is one of the easiest ways to gain good deeds. (sooooo jangan karit karit kan share notes atu hehehe :p) Also, knowledge brings a great reward. The one who points the way to something good is like the one who does it. When the knowledgeable person dies, his reward with Allah does not cease when he dies, rather it continues to increase so long as people benefit from his knowledge.
Event was
followed by lunch prepared by BSA, Nasi goreng belacan and grilled chicken. (yummy
Bruneian food! left me feeling homesick D:) Deserts were from a collection of
potluck from our students.
Study packs were given out with motivational quotes (to keep us going with our revision!) but with a slight twist this year, as the packs contained goodies brought all the way from Brunei, yum! (double the homesickness D:)

Happy faces with happy
food! YUM-YUM!
Overall it was an event
which was full of love!
To end this, BSA wishes
everyone all the best for the upcoming exams! May we be blessed with sincerity
in our studies.
PS. Goodluck kamuuu!
:D
